I’ve made a lot of moves before this one
I grew up in Regina. At 18 I packed everything and moved to New Westminster, BC to play college baseball at Douglas College. A city I had never lived in, knowing almost nobody. That was the first time I learned what it actually feels like to start somewhere new: figuring out a grocery store, a commute, a neighbourhood, a version of normal that doesn’t exist yet.
Baseball took me to Seattle for a rehab stint at Driveline. When the playing career ended, I moved again, this time to Calgary where my mom lives. Enrolled at Haskayne School of Business, dropped out when it wasn’t the right fit, joined the Canadian Armed Forces, and got posted to Edmonton.
The military kept moving me. Basic training in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu for three months, then Meaford, Ontario for infantry training, then posted to CFB Edmonton. And that was just the start. Five months in south England, airborne training in California, a Marine Corps mountain course in the Sierra Nevada. Every posting was another city, another set of keys, another round of building a routine from scratch.
When I was released I had been posted to Edmonton years before and something about it stuck. I moved back with my partner Faith, into Beverly Heights, and decided this was where I was building something permanent.
When buyers call me from Toronto or Vancouver trying to understand what Edmonton actually feels like to live in, I’m not guessing. I have been the person moving to a new city more times than most people will in a lifetime. I know what that transition looks like and I know how to help you land well.
Why I chose Park Realty
Park Realty is a small brokerage founded by Ken and Matt, both of whom were building real estate businesses before they were running one. Ken holds the rural license, which means we can handle acreages and rural properties without referring you elsewhere.
They were the only brokerage I spoke to that talked about building a brand and a business, not just onboarding another agent. The content studio on Ken’s acreage is where I film every video. The culture is builder-first.
Small by design. When you work with me, you work with me. Not a team assistant, not a junior agent. Every call, every showing, every offer is mine.
Why I put everything on YouTube
Most agents treat information like a competitive advantage. I don’t. The more you know before you call me, the better our first conversation is going to be.
The YouTube channel started as a way to reach buyers relocating from Ontario and BC. People who can’t tour properties every weekend and need to trust someone before they land. It grew into something bigger: neighbourhood guides, market updates, honest takes on what Edmonton actually costs and what you actually get.
If you’ve watched a few videos before you reach out, you already know whether you want to work with me or not. I’m fine with that. The right clients find me through the content. That’s the point.
Ready to buy or sell in Edmonton?
Whether you’re moving from across the country or you’ve been here for years and are ready for the next step, I’ll give you a straight answer and do the work.
